Compuways was founded as an IT Consulting and Recruitment company. Compuways had a team of consultants working at client companies. These consultants started a training group to cross-train new consultants, mainly after hours, to be able to become productive on new projects quickly.

Compuways IT Training was a company who provided training courses mainly to contracting consultants who did not want to take off during office hours for training, therefore part-time and after hours. Due to the demand from customers also wanting training courses during the week in normal business hours, Code College was founded to take the training component out of the Compuways group and present training courses full-time.
