Employ Our Software Developer Graduates

Dear Employer,

75% of our full intake are studying by the ISA agreement and are recruited as follows:

  • Matric results (they should have passed pure Maths or have an above-average matric pass in Matric)
  • Aptitude test (we focus on Analytical ability)
  • The final hurdle is the Intro To Programming course during which they must show that they will be a good fit for the rest of their Coding Bootcamp to turn them into a Full-Stack (Web Developer) or (Java Software Engineer).

Focus on Competencies

During our Coding Bootcamp, we do not only cover a set syllabus on a software package/language like Java / JavaScript etc. but for every such module like these, we have a set number of competency-building, work-like tasks to complete.

We have stand-up meetings every day during which students rotate leadership roles to report on their progress. We then assign teams and/or pairs to complete their assignments in a pair-programming or solo fashion.

Students are trained to master soft skills like

  • presentations (normal and video)
  • error-logging
  • research
  • peer support
  • pair-programming
  • We track how many times they were:
  • Drivers and
  • Navigators in the pair-programming methodology.
At the end of the Web Bootcamp, they can make state of the art MERN Stack Apps to fullfil business needs and after the Java Software Engineering Bootcamp do the same with Java Spring Framework and React. Some of them also focus on passing the international exam in Java (OCP)

After completion, our students are able switch to a different skill set very quickly. We have placed many of them in different stacks to the ones in the coding bootcamp. They can quickly adapt to popular stacks like PHP / Laravel, .NET, Python and others as well and can be productive quickly with a supportive team.

Various success stories from our students can be seen on our blog . Some of our alumni are currently fulfilling key positions in top companies in South Africa and the world.

A junior with a proper foundation can soon be the cornerstone of a project. Well-skilled juniors can fulfill crucial roles in a project. Our juniors are also further trainable to your specific requirements and flexible enough to learn and apply new skills. By employing juniors, you are investing in the future of the project.

Our juniors learn not only the technical skills, but also the collaboration skills required to make them well-groomed for employment. We teach the technical skils, employing team work in our assignments as it promotes learning by competition. Our LMS supports us in this regard by keeping track of team activities and monitoring each student on his/her teamwork and individual exposure.
