No degree. No experience. No problem.

Our bootcamps are built for two types of people — school leavers who want to skip the degree route and career changers who are ready for something new. Both leave job-ready.

🎓
School Leavers & Matriculants

You just finished school and you’re weighing your options. A three-year degree is expensive, slow, and doesn’t always teach what employers need. There’s a faster route into tech.

  • No matric exemption or university admission required
  • Start earning in months, not years
  • Choose between coding and cybersecurity
  • Learn exactly what employers interview for
🚀
Career Changers & Upskillers

You’re working — but not in the career you want. Our part-time tracks let you retrain while you keep your salary, then transition into tech when you’re ready.

  • Part-time options that work around your schedule
  • No prior tech experience needed
  • Career support and employer introductions included
  • Study from anywhere — 100% online

Questions we get asked every day

Do I need a matric certificate or degree to join? +

No. Matric is recommended but not required for either the coding or cybersecurity bootcamp. We assess you on aptitude, motivation and problem-solving ability. Many of our best graduates did not complete matric in the traditional sense.

How do I choose between coding and cybersecurity? +

If you enjoy building things, solving logic puzzles, and creating applications that people use, coding is a natural fit. If you prefer investigating threats, analysing systems, and protecting organisations from attacks, cybersecurity may suit you better. Both paths lead to strong employment outcomes — talk to our team if you’re unsure.

Can I study part-time while I keep my job? +

Yes. Both coding and cybersecurity bootcamps offer full-time and part-time options. Part-time tracks double the duration but cover the same curriculum. Classes are structured to work around a work schedule.

Are there financing options? +

Yes — we offer a 12-month interest-free instalment plan, an Income Share Agreement (ISA) option for qualifying students, and can connect you with student loan providers. ISA and student loan options are currently available to South African residents only.

Do you help with job placement after graduating? +

Career support is included for every graduate — even after you find a job. We maintain active relationships with employers who hire our graduates, including Dimension Data, Discovery, FNB, ABSA and Capitec.

Can international students enrol? +

Absolutely. All classes are online. You can pay in ZAR, USD or GBP using live exchange rates. We have students across Africa, the UK and beyond.

What equipment do I need? +

A PC or laptop (minimum i3 13th-gen, i5 recommended), a stable internet connection, an extra monitor, and a webcam with microphone. All software is provided — there are no additional software costs.

What makes Code College different from other bootcamps? +

We’re backed by Compuways, an IT recruitment firm founded in 1990. That means our curriculum is shaped by what real employers need, and our graduates get active placement support from a recruiter with 35+ years of industry relationships.

We Train You. Then We Help Place You.

Code College is backed by Compuways — an IT recruitment and consulting firm founded in 1990, recognised as one of South Africa’s top 4 IT recruitment companies. We’ve been training developers since 2004 and launched one of South Africa’s first coding bootcamps in 2013/14. That two-decade track record shapes everything: what we teach, how we assess, and how we actively support graduates in finding tech roles after they finish.

🏗️

Employer-Shaped Curriculum

What we teach is what the companies Compuways recruits for actually need — not textbook theory, but working skills employers interview for on day one.

🤝

Active Placement Support

After graduation, Compuways actively works to connect suitable graduates with open tech roles at companies in their recruitment network.

🔄

The Closed Loop

Recruiter feedback flows directly back into course content. When the market moves, the curriculum moves with it — so you graduate with skills that are current, not trailing.
