Study Now, Pay Later – Income Share Agreement (ISA)
Who Qualifies for an ISA?
- Freshly Qualified Matriculants: Above average academic results (including Pure Maths) and a pass in our aptitude test. We accept matric 3rd term (2024) interim results for the January 2025 intake.
- Tertiary Graduates: You automatically qualify with a degree or national diploma.
- Be unemployed (proof required)
- Have no sponsor (proof required)
- Not be studying anything else in parallel — focus only on your selected bootcamp
Hardware Requirements:
If you don't have access to the following, you may still apply, but it might delay your start date as we have limited hardware sponsors:
- Stable internet connection with router UPS (required even for physical classes)
- Laptop equivalent to Intel i5 with 8GB RAM
- External monitor
How ISA Works:
With an Income Share Agreement, you don't pay upfront or during your studies. Instead, you start repaying once you're employed, paying between 10-25% of your income (sliding scale) only while employed.
Note: ISAs are limited and subject to availability.
Starting Amounts:
- R150,000 for 12-month bootcamp
- R75,000 for 6-month bootcamp
How to Apply for an Income Share Agreement
On our standard Coding Bootcamp Application Form, there is a checkbox where you can indicate that you're applying for an ISA.

What Is an Income Share Agreement (ISA)?
An Income Share Agreement is a flexible financing option where you don't pay upfront or during your studies. Instead, you start repaying once you're employed. With Code College, ISAs start at R75,000 for our 6-month bootcamp or R150,000 for the 12-month bootcamp. This is ideal for fresh matriculants and tertiary graduates who are currently unemployed. The ISA is completely free to apply for and removes financial barriers to learning to code.
How Long Does Loan Approval Take?
Loan approvals can take anywhere from 2 to 7 business days, depending on the lender and documentation provided.
Can Fresh Matriculants Access Student Financing?
Yes! If you have above-average academic results and pass our aptitude test, you can qualify for an Income Share Agreement and study for free. We also accept your matric 3rd term interim results for our January 2025 intake. Alternatively, you can explore traditional student loans through Student Hero, which connects you with top banks and other funders — all for free.
What If I Don't Qualify for a Traditional Bank Loan?
Our Income Share Agreement is a great alternative, especially if you're unemployed and recently graduated. With an ISA, there are no credit checks or upfront payments — you only repay once you're employed. Apply now and one of our representatives will contact you to discuss whether the ISA is the right option for your situation.
Do I Need a Guarantor?
Some funding partners require a guarantor, but others offer loans without one, especially for employed students or those with existing income. Student Hero will help you find the best option for your situation.
