1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at codecollege.co.za and the educational programmes offered by Code College (Pty) Ltd ("Code College", "we", "us", "our"), including our Coding Bootcamp, Short Courses, and Coding for Kids programme.
By accessing our website, submitting an application, or enrolling in any programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Code College is a South African coding education provider offering instructor-led software development training to individuals, corporates, and learners of all ages.
3. Programmes and Enrolment
3.1 Available Programmes
We currently offer the following programmes:
- Coding Bootcamp — intensive full-stack software development training
- Short Courses — focused skills courses in specific technologies or topics
- Coding for Kids — age-appropriate coding education for children
3.2 Application Process
Submission of an application form does not constitute enrolment or guarantee a place on any programme. Enrolment is confirmed only once you have received a written confirmation from Code College and the applicable fees have been arranged.
3.3 Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to enrol in the Bootcamp or Short Courses. For the Coding for Kids programme, enrolment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of the child.
3.4 Attendance Mode
Programmes may be offered onsite, online, or in hybrid format. The attendance mode applicable to your enrolment will be confirmed in writing at the time of enrolment. Code College reserves the right to change the delivery mode when circumstances require it, with reasonable notice to enrolled students.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Programme Fees
Fees for each programme are communicated during the application and quotation process. All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
4.2 Payment Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the applicant (or their sponsor / employer) to arrange payment before or on the agreed start date. Code College will not be held responsible for any financial arrangements between the applicant and a third-party sponsor.
4.3 Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of enrolment confirmation. Please do not make payment without a written quote or invoice from Code College.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellation by the Student
If you wish to cancel your enrolment, you must notify us in writing at hello@codecollege.co.za. The following terms apply:
- More than 14 days before the start date: Full refund, less any administrative fee.
- 8–14 days before the start date: 50% refund.
- 7 days or fewer before the start date, or after the programme has commenced: No refund.
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing.
5.2 Deferral
Subject to availability, you may request to defer your enrolment to a future intake. Deferral requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the programme start date. A deferral is not guaranteed and is subject to Code College's approval.
5.3 Cancellation by Code College
Code College reserves the right to cancel or postpone a programme if minimum enrolment numbers are not met or for reasons beyond our control. In such cases, enrolled students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative intake.
6. Conduct and Participation
6.1 Code of Conduct
All students are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, fellow students, and staff. Code College will not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour of any kind. Students who breach the code of conduct may be removed from the programme without a refund.
6.2 Academic Integrity
Students must complete all assignments and projects independently unless instructed otherwise. Plagiarism, copying, or submitting work that is not your own is a serious breach of our academic integrity policy and may result in immediate removal from the programme.
6.3 Attendance
Regular attendance (onsite or online) is required to successfully complete a programme. Code College is not obligated to provide supplementary catch-up sessions for students who miss scheduled sessions without prior arrangement.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Course Materials
All course materials, including slides, exercises, code examples, videos, and written content provided by Code College, are the intellectual property of Code College and are protected by South African copyright law. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or publish these materials without our prior written consent.
7.2 Student Work
You retain ownership of the original code and projects you create during a programme. By enrolling, you grant Code College a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use anonymised examples of student work for educational and marketing purposes.
7.3 Website Content
All content on codecollege.co.za, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by or licensed to Code College. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute any website content without our permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:
- Code College provides educational training but does not guarantee employment or any specific outcome as a result of completing a programme.
- Code College will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising out of your participation in a programme or use of our website.
- Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the fees paid by you for the programme in question.
9. Website Use
9.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the site, or interfere with any other person's use of it.
9.2 Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. Code College does not endorse and is not responsible for the content or practices of any linked websites.
9.3 Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The website may be unavailable for maintenance or due to technical issues without notice.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
The collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our website or enrolling in a programme, you consent to the processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy, in accordance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013).
11. Marketing Communications
If you have opted in to receive marketing communications from Code College, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us at hello@codecollege.co.za. We will not send you marketing emails without your consent.
12. Changes to These Terms
Code College reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or enrolment in our programmes after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed of any updates.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
